OLD BUSINESS

Trader Tables: Mike Cash suggested that we cut back Trader Table fees due to the generosity of the traders toward the State auction. Trader space is limited, not much can be done about providing more space. It was decided to let the Convention Chairman decide on the 1995 Trader fees.

General Meeting: Doc Bob amazed at how well the dues increase and Bighorn Basin Proposal went.

Traveling Trophy: Dave Tyrell will check on bulk quantity medallion costs if more than 250 are purchased. Maybe a better break at 300 or so.

State Records: Standardize forms for State Shoot. Dave Tyrell thought he could draw something up. Keeping records of high scores supposed to be done annually, but has not been maintained for several years. Bryan Youngberg will check with Phil Nissen and go through old newsletters for past scores. Need a poster sized copy of shooting record for State shoot. Shoot record Historian for maintenance of State Shooting records. Judy volunteered to coordinate. No poster. Bryan said he would get information together, put on computer and send out.

Safety Packets: Bryan and Doc Bob will review packets and bring finished updated product to May meeting. Upgrading needs to include club contact addresses, NRA, NMLRA and State info (most outdated). Judy suggested a list of clubs with a contact person listed.

NEW BUSINESS

State Shoot: Following discussion about the State Shoot Mike Cash suggested that it made sense to have a Tensleep Board Member act as State Shoot Coordinator. Dave Tyrell volunteered (choo-choo). Scott Gormley volunteered to act as assistant. It was suggested that prize gathering commence immediately. Dave Tyrell asked if we want prizes or medallions. Dave made a motion we award three places on required State matches and major aggregates, two places on secondary shoots and one place on primitive range. Tony Larvie 2nd. -- Motion passed unopposed.

Lengthy discussion concerning types of prizes for State Shoot included Trader bucks ($1, $5 & $10), merchandise prizes (with possible extra auction donations) and medallions. Dave Tyrell suggested that since this is a trial year for State run State shoot, go with medallions because it is the simplest. Same way as last year on the paper range. Judy made a motion we accept this suggestion. Mike Cash 2nd. Motion passed with 2 opposed.

Discussion about farming out primitive range to any club volunteering to host primitive matches. Tony Larvie made a motion to have a club volunteer to host the primitive range, provide prizes and that all proceeds go to the sponsoring club. Bryan Youngberg 2nd. -- Motion passed with none opposed. Hosting club must apply by the May Board meeting. Club will decide the type of prizes, but must coordinate with Shoot coordinator. All members of hosting club must register with State Association for insurance purposes. If more than one club volunteers board will cross that bridge if and when it comes.
